Plant Fitter Job Description
Due to planned expansion Groundwork Services (Durham) Ltd have an opportunity for an experienced Foreman Plant fitter to join our team. With a comprehensive fleet of over 100 items of plant and machinery, the company are looking to expand the in-house maintenance operation in order to keep our fleet to the highest of standards and drive utilization levels.
A Full UK Driving License will be required and company transportation will be provided to attend to a range of plant across various sites within the North East region.
What you will need
– Prior experience in a Plant Maintenance Fitter role.
– Ability to work quickly but meticulously, ensuring a fast turn around for the return of plant to site.
– Extensive knowledge of attachments, parts and plant manufacturers such as: Komatsu, Case, Volvo, Doosan, JCB, Wacker Neuson, CAT.
– Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
– Literacy skills to document services, check sheets, maintenance reports.
– Ability to prioritize and react to workload according to importance and level of urgency.
– Complete work requirements safely and timely in accordance with company procedures and processes.
– Good communication skills to work alongside colleagues, site managers, and liaise with the Fleet Manager.
– Ensure that all Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
